Neighborhood friend Arthur Seagren, Jr., older brother of Bob Seagren who first excelled in the pole vault in high school and who inspired his younger brother, Bob, to compete in the event..1960 Pomona High School graduation photo
we stayed with the hacklers when we first moved to Pomona from council bluffs iowa.. they were mainly friends of the family from way back.. my grandfather, who died in 1951, knew jim hacler real well and his wife, ramona, died in around 1952..she was the mother of all the hackler kids...so, myself..i have lost touch with everyone..i`m up there in age now and living alone..everyone saya it`s a bad mistake to put all this info on blogs so...anyway so it goes...
Art Seagren turned into a real piece of work. You must of noticed that he disappeared from public life because he was a full-blown loser. He was very jealous of his brother's success and having Kam as his wife. He didn't want to work for money he wanted to get it anyway he could and I mean any way he could. I have no idea where he is now but I wouldn't doubt if he still alive he's somewhere where he's getting free daily meals and lives in an all male population.

P.S. I also knew the Hackler's through the Todd family (memorial chapel folks). Knew Ladd and younger brother Rob the best.
